What Is Amvuttra®?

Amvuttra® is a prescription medication designed to treat hATTR amyloidosis, a rare inherited condition that affects how the body produces a protein called transthyretin, or TTR. In healthy individuals, TTR carries important substances through the bloodstream. However, in people with hATTR amyloidosis, the body produces an abnormal form of this protein that builds up in tissues over time.

This protein buildup can cause serious damage to nerves, the heart, and other vital organs. Amvuttra® works by reducing the amount of abnormal TTR protein your body makes, which helps slow disease progression. By lowering these harmful protein levels, Amvuttra® treatment gives patients an opportunity to manage their condition more effectively and maintain their quality of life.
