What to Expect During Your Evkeeza Infusion

Most Evkeeza infusion appointments occur once every four weeks. The medication is administered over approximately 60 minutes, but you should plan to spend about 90 minutes at your appointment to allow time for check-in, IV placement, and brief post-infusion monitoring. 

Here’s what you can typically expect during your appointment: 

  • Prepare before your visit: drink plenty of water, eat a light meal, and wear comfortable clothing with loose sleeves.
  • Check in and complete a brief vitals assessment with our nursing team.
  • Receive IV placement and begin your 60-minute infusion under continuous clinical monitoring.
  • Complete a brief post-infusion observation, then monitor at home for fatigue or nausea over the next 24 to 72 hours.

Throughout your appointment, our clinical team monitors for infusion-related reactions and is prepared to respond immediately if any concerns arise. 

Because Evkeeza may cause fetal harm, patients who can become pregnant should discuss pregnancy screening and contraception recommendations with their prescribing physician before starting treatment.
