By Chip Sekulich, TwelveStone Chaplain

At TwelveStone, we believe that prayer is powerful, sometimes more powerful than we realize. Prayers have the ability to change our situation even during the most challenging times in life. As the lead chaplain at TwelveStone, we communicate nearly every day with our employees, asking them to share prayer requests. We take the same approach with our patients, recognizing the positive power prayer has in the healing process. The simple act, just knowing that someone cares, has never been more important given the times in which we are currently living.

Prayer changes our attitude and draws us closer to God. I am not alone in this important mission of providing comfort and care, all of the TwelveStone team members share the same fierce dedication to our patients’ physical and spiritual healing. The TwelveStone clinical staff are amazing and go above and beyond for their patients. From providing pillows and blankets to having snacks available, they ensure that patients are “cared for “comfortable and taken care of during each visit to our infusion centers.

This brings to mind a verse from the bible which resonates deeply with my commitment to prayer:

“Be careful (anxious) for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus,” – Philippians 4:6-

Prayer is powerful, and we have witnessed the real, positive impact on our patients. I urge you to send in your prayers, and rest assured we will pray for you. As always, your prayer requests and concerns are always private and confidential.

As I often ask: “How may I pray for you today?”
